Terry Nolan joins WRUS Board

Wye Mills, MD, September 29, 2006

Wye River Upper School has announced the appointment of Terry Elizabeth Nolan, to their Board of Trustees.

Nolan joins the Board motivated by her passion for the Mission of the school. “I have a sweet spot for bright children challenged by ADHD and dyslexia and look forward to making a positive contribution to their educational growth.” Nolan and Head of School Chrissy Aull share status as peer alumni of Western Maryland College, now McDaniel College, in Westminster, Md. Nolan holds a degree in liberal arts and economics and is a Professional Registered Investment Advisor. Terry has managed her own investment firm and currently sits on the Board of the Frank J. Battaglia Signal 13 Foundation, a non-profit organization in Baltimore. Aull reports “Terry and I are both motivated by personal knowledge of the power of ADD in children. She is a mother, as well as a seasoned business person, who has moved mountains for her children. I look forward to her ability to make things happen for WRUS.”

Terry has recently authored Michael’s Mom: A Road Warrior Without A Map, due to be released later this fall by Tate Publishing. It tells the true story of her creative approach to raising children with ADD. Terry and her husband Kevin reside in Easton with their three children.
